Write for us
Silver Weekly Briefing welcomes pitches that help readers understand the objects, materials and designed spaces they already encounter. Send proposals through the Contact page; unsolicited finished drafts are not a substitute for a pitch.
What we welcome
We are interested in clear explanations of object design, material choices, the history of familiar things and the ways spaces influence use. A strong idea gives readers a specific question to follow and a fresh way to look at a real subject.
A useful pitch
Tell us the proposed subject, the central question, why it suits Silver Weekly Briefing and how you would make it useful to a general reader. Include a short outline and relevant experience if you wish, but do not claim expertise you do not have. We cannot promise acceptance or a response by a particular date.
Care and originality
Pitches should be original, carefully framed and supported by sources appropriate to their claims. Avoid sweeping cultural claims, unsupported product endorsements and instructions that could put readers at risk. Disclose relevant commercial interests.
